Which Masks Work With the ResMed AirMini? Setup Packs, HumidX and Parts

Quick answer: The ResMed AirMini works only with specific ResMed masks: the AirFit P10 for AirMini, AirFit N20, AirTouch N20, AirFit N30 for AirMini, AirFit F20, AirTouch F20 and AirFit F30. Each mask connects through its own AirMini setup pack (a mask-specific connector plus AirMini tubing), because the AirMini doesn’t use standard CPAP tubing. For humidity, the AirMini uses small waterless HumidX inserts instead of a water chamber. These must be replaced within 30 days of opening, even if unused.

Which masks are compatible with the AirMini?

Mask Works with AirMini? What you need
AirFit P10 for AirMini (nasal pillows) ✅ P10 AirMini mask pack (the AirMini version of the P10 frame and connector)
AirFit N20 / AirTouch N20 (nasal) ✅ N20 AirMini setup pack
AirFit N30 for AirMini (nasal cradle) ✅ N30 AirMini mask pack
AirFit F20 / AirTouch F20 (full face) ✅ F20 AirMini setup pack
AirFit F30 (full face, under the nose) ✅ F30 AirMini setup pack
AirFit N30i ❌ Not compatible, per ResMed
Other brands’ masks ❌ The AirMini uses its own tubing and connectors

Key point: a standard P10 or N30 is not the same as the “for AirMini” version. The AirMini versions use a dedicated frame and connector.

What is an AirMini setup pack, and why do I need one?

The AirMini doesn’t take the standard tubing that home CPAP machines use. Instead, each compatible mask attaches through a mask-specific connector and AirMini tubing, sold together as a setup pack (or as part of a mask pack).

What setup packs typically include:

  • A connector made for that specific mask
  • AirMini tubing
  • HumidX inserts, depending on the mask

Important:

  • A setup pack works only with the AirMini. It won’t connect to an AirSense or any other machine.
  • A setup pack is made for one mask family. An F20 setup pack won’t work with an N20 mask.
  • Setup packs usually don’t include the mask itself. If you already use an F20, F30 or N20 at home, you can often add the matching setup pack and use your existing mask with the AirMini.

HumidX vs HumidX Plus: waterless humidification

Instead of a water tub, the AirMini uses HumidX, a small heat-and-moisture exchanger that sits in the mask connector. It captures warmth and moisture from your own breath and returns it on the next breath, so there’s no water to carry.

HumidX HumidX Plus
Best for Average or humid climates Dry air: high altitude, aircraft cabins
Humidity level Standard Higher
Works with N20, P10 for AirMini, N30 for AirMini N20, P10 for AirMini, N30 for AirMini
Replace Within 30 days of opening Within 30 days of opening
Washable? ❌ No ❌ No

Full face masks: waterless humidification options are more limited for the F20 and F30. The F20 has a dedicated F20 version of HumidX. [CONFIRM with the supplier which HumidX options the F20 and F30 setup packs currently support before publishing.]

Rules for both:

  • Replace within 30 days after opening the packaging, even if you didn’t use it every night
  • Never wash or wet a HumidX
  • Check it daily for dirt, dust or damage

Which AirMini mask should you choose?

  • Want the smallest possible travel setup? The AirFit P10 for AirMini is the lightest option, and nasal pillows suit beards and side sleepers. See P10 pillow sizing →
  • Prefer a nasal cushion or cradle? The AirFit N20 or N30 for AirMini.
  • Breathe through your mouth at night? The AirFit F20, AirTouch F20 or AirFit F30. See F20 cushion options →
  • Use an N30i at home? It’s not AirMini-compatible, so you’ll need a different mask for travel. See the N30i and P30i guide →

The simplest path: if your home mask is an F20, F30 or N20, add the matching AirMini setup pack and travel with the mask you already know fits.
